About

Inspired by Sikhi
Empowering All

As Sikhs working in education, we act as role models and inspirations to our school, colleges and local communities. We want to make this impact even greater by supporting more Sikh people working in schools and colleges.

This is not without its challenges. Research* suggests that people of minority backgrounds experience barriers to career in schools. Sikh staff are more likely to feel excluded from their place of work^. Whilst this is perhaps no surprise to many Sikh teachers up and down the country, it has to stop.

Sikhs in Schools is a professional community dedicated to empowering Sikhs in schools and colleges.

This network is for all those working in schools and colleges, including teachers, support staff, HR, finance, data, exam colleagues and more!

Whatever your role is, you are a leader within your schools and colleges. Together we can promote representation and create a lasting impact in the UK education sector.
